Juan Angel (*1990) is a physicist and data scientist. After earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in theoretical particle physics at ETH Zürich, he pursued a PhD in Iceland, conducting research in high-energy physics. Upon returning to Switzerland, he started studying Artificial Intelligence at ETH Zürich, focusing on the intersection of physics, data science, and computational creativity.
Pascal Heimann (*1989) is a textile designer specializing in the intersection of digital processes and textile production. After studying process design at HyperWerk, HGK/FHNW, he pursued further education in textile design at HF Textildesign in Basel. He worked as a designer at Jakob Schlaepfer and later deepened his weaving expertise at Minnotex GmbH, Switzerland’s last silk weaving mill.
He was a TaDA Residency fellow in 2023, where he developed innovative methods for translating digital images into woven textiles. He is also a co-founder of the fair fashion factory (fff) in Basel, a sustainable textile production initiative focused on circular economy principles and regional textile innovation.
